MECHANICS SPECIAL: Check engine light appeared and upon further inspection, Mercedes-Benz technicians diagnosed faults on all 4 CAMS. Oil pressure was checked using gauge with reading reaching 0.5 BAR upon start-up. Cause of the issue or when it began is unclear. Also unclear is extent internal engine damage, if any. Oil filter was free of any fragments, particles, etc., an encouraging sign. Technicians recommend either replace oil pan and CAM shafts or removing, inspecting & repairing engine. The owner has declined additional services on the vehicle and is looking to sell to a mechanic interested or up for purchasing the vehicle to take on the project. Other than the engine issue, the vehicle is in good condition.
